Tinuade was an influential member of pastor-in-council of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), the highest decision-making body of the church.
The CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, the parish she attended before her death, wrote in a Facebook post: “It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We submit to his will #farewell.”
Head of the parish’s media unit Olukoya Benjamin said: “Two days ago, she had some feelings and was taken to hospital, they said she still ate yesterday before she gave the ghost earlier this morning.
“She was a strong member of the women in council. She was appreciated with an award recently at their 40th anniversary.”
