Towulade of Akinale,Oba Femi Ogunleye made the charge while addressing the inmates of Borstal Training Institute in Abeokuta along with other doctoral students of Babcock University who were on legal outreach to the Borstal Correction Centre.

Oba Ogunleye told the inmates “you should submit yourself to correction, training and imbibe a new character that would make you a good citizen of Nigeria”.

The visit was organised by the Babcock University,Ilisan as part of the programme of the School of Law and Security Studies.

Besides the selected students who spoke in turn to encourage and motivate the inmates towards being reformed and turn new leaf for better citizenship of Nigeria, three Heads of Departments of the School of Law and Security Studies of the University, Professors Titilayo Aderibigbe Dorcas Odunaike and Olubukunola Olugasa, shared personal life experiences that are meant to boost the morale of the inmates towards the desired positive change in their life.

Members of the students’ team are Justice Dotun Onibokun, Emmanuel Chinaka Emmanuel, Ajibade Toluwalase, Aina Oluyola, Olusola Akinsanya, Bolatito Akande, Adeola Babatunde, Fatoki Yewande, Ayodeji Fatehinse and Olufemi Ogunleye.

The Borstal Training Institution in Abeokuta is situated at Adigbe, near the Navy Secondary School, and it is one of the three Borstal institutions in Nigeria and the only one in the South Western Nigeria.
It is a place where juvenile offenders are remanded and given both basic educational, vocational and reform them before reintegration into the society.
