While security forces are batting to free 39 school children and their Teachers abducted by terrorists in Oyo last weekend Gunmen have again kidnapped two persons at the Idi Ayunre end of the Ijebu-Ode road in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State on Tuesday.
The incident comes barely five days after the abduction of students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the gunmen laid an ambush for the victims who were travelling towards Ijebu-Ode.
Several gunshots were reportedly fired into the air to scare away passersby and other road users during the operation.

An eyewitness said the attackers operated in a commando-style manner and whisked the victims away to an unknown destination.
As of the time of filing this report, the gunmen had not made contact with the victims’ families nor demanded ransom.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the attack in a telephone conversation with our correspondent. (Nigerian Tribune)
