Nigerian Football Star, Oyelade Wins 3 Awards in One Night
Nigeria’s 18 year old football brat, Usman Oyelade on Tuesday 19th May 2026 had a standout night at the FVC International Football Academy year-end function, carting home 3 awards:
1. *Highest Goal Scorer* – Improved from 19 goals last season to 21 goals this season
2. *Players’ Player Award*
3. *Coaches’ Player Award*

From Ibadan to the UK, Usman’s journey shows what progressive development looks like. He’s balanced football growth with education, staying dedicated to training and match performance all season.
*National Recognition*
Usman was invited to the Nigeria U21 squad for the 2025 World Cup in Chile. At just over 17 at the time, the coaching staff saw him as a long-term prospect for Nigerian football.
He turned 18 this February and celebrated it during a 1-week assessment with Lorret De Mar in Spain before returning to his club.
Usman is a product of Femben Sports Academy of Nigeria run by Coach Femi Olatunji.
