The Ondo state Government has declared that it would rally other south-west states in Nigeria to bring about a joint rail system and power supply in the geo-political zone.

The move is apparently coming on the heels of signing into law the amendment to Nigerias constitution which has removed construction of Rail and Power from the exclusive list
The Acting Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa stated this while playing host to the Director General of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria Commission (DAWN), Dr Oluseye Oyeleye and his management team who paid him a courtesy visit.

Aiyedatiwa appreciated the commission for selecting Akure as the host of the upcoming summit. He also assured them of maximum cooperation and participation of the state Governments in all activities.

He lauded the critical role that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu played as chairman of the south-west Governors’ Forum.
