..Seeks injunction to stop Otileta Ruling house from presenting candidate
The members of the Laara family in the Otileta Ruling house has made good their threat by filling a motion for an injunction to refrain the later from presenting any candidate to kingmakers for filling vacant Olowu of Owu stool.
This was contained in a notice filed by the law firm of Adebayo Ogungbemi representing Prince Abolaji

It was filled before the High Court of Justice in the Abeokuta Judicial Division Holden at Abeokuta on Thursday 17 March,2022.
According to the motion on notice,the duo from Laara family are seeking for an interlocutory injunction restraining the third defendant/respondents ,her agents or privies from recognizing,accepting or acting upon any decision or nomination by the 1st and 2nd defendant/respondents without the inclusion of the Claimants/Applicants in the decision making process pending the hearing and determination of the substantive issue therein. And for such further or other orders as the Honourable court may dim fit to make in these circumstances.
No date has been fixed for hearing of the suit.
It will be recalled that the Laara compound had last week written to the Otileta Ruling house protesting over it’s non- inclusion in the selection process of candidates by the Otileta Ruling house of which it said it is a member.
This it stated is by the fact of it’s being the custodian of the Olowu crown and from where the first Olowu Pawu was enthroned in 1855.
