Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has confirmed the kidnapping of a Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Danjuma Shekare, from his official residence at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, Ukulu Pari, Kaura Local Government of Kaduna State.
The Chancellor, Kafancan Diocese, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Okolo, while confirming the incident on Monday at a press briefing in Kaduna, said: “Rev. Fr. Joseph Danjuma Shekare was kidnapped by unknown gunmen around 11:30pm Sunday night.
“While we solicit for intense prayer for his quick and safe release, we equally wish to call on all and sundry to refrain from taking the laws into their hands.
“May Jesus crucified on the cross, listen to our prayers and hasten the unconditional release of His Priest and all other kidnapped persons.”
