BATAM on the move again


…. Appoint local coordinators for Lagos State

Bola AhmedTinubu Admirers’ Movement (BATAM), led by Dr. Kenneth Ibikunle Solana, is not leaving any stone unturned in its determination at mobilizing grassroot support for the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu towards his 2023 presidential aspiration.

To this end, the national executives of the movement comprising of Solana and some journalists were at the meeting of the movement’s Lagos State branch held at the organisation’s national secretariat at Bariga, Lagos on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

At the meeting which recorded an impressive turn out of both national and Lagos State branch members, important decisions that included how to deepen membership drive for the non political body that is a gathering of like minds who admire Tinubu for what he did when he governed the state and what he is currently doing were taken.

And in response to Lagos State Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Araba Olufayo’s complain that some of the state’s executive members are not up and doing, the meeting agreed that those who are constituting a clog in the movement’s wheel of progress should be changed as the movement can no longer wait for anyone.

“The movement has left the station and it cannot afford to be delayed or slowed down for anyone. We have to take our rightful place. We started in 2016 even before Tinubu decided that he will run and now all manners of Tinubu support group is springing up and we, the pioneer seem to be lagging behind.This is the time for us to show the world the stuff we are made off,” Solana said.

Based on that, some members present were appointed as local government acting coordinators to assist the Lagos State Coordinator and his executive in the area of winning more souls for BATAM and support for Tinubu’s aspirations in the state.

The icing on the cake at the meeting was the appearance of Hon. Otunba Dr.Shakirudeen Dengel Anifowoshe, the former chairman of APC chairmen in Lagos state; and Special Adviser to BATAM.



He commended the group and urged its members to remain focused and committed as God will eventually crown their efforts. He assured and prayed for the members that they shall reap the benefits of their hard labour.
