Exclusive: 2023 presidency: Run, Tinubu, run – BATAM urges him

The presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is steadily permeating the grassroots in both Kano and Ogun states.

While his agents/foot soldiers are sharing bags of rice in Kano to deepen his popularity/acceptance, his admirers under the aegies of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Admirers’ Movement (BATAM), are continuing with sensitisation meeting they started three years ago to shore up grass roots support for him and his ambition.

At a meeting held Saturday at Ogun State and presided by one of his staunch admirer, a journalist, Mr. Kunle Solana, who were at various times, Secretary, Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and Vice- Chairman of Labour Party (LP),Ogun State Chapter, some members and none members of BATAM were recognized for their contributions in building BATAM.

At the meeting, members pledged to leave no stone untouched in selling Tinubu to the electorate if he eventually wins All Progressive Congress (APC) ticket for the 2023 Presidential election.

Speaking to newdawnngr, Solana said that BATAM is not a political party,  but a gathering of like minds that cuts across the country that admires Tinubu and will stop at nothing at making sure that he wins the presidential ticket of APC and ultimately win the presidency.

As part of walking their talk, BATAM decided to re-invigorate the Ogun State chapter by electing a new coordinator to replace the old one whom it said was performing below expectation. The new coordinator is Engineer Kola Johnson from Ondo State but based in Sagamu, Ogun State.

Solana also disclosed that BATAM is now firmly established in the 36 states of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) and that of the 37, nine are very active including Kano, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, Plateau, Kaduna and Lagos State. While others are gradually waking up.

The meeting also resolved to call on Tinubu to consider choosing a Christian northerner as running mate, especially from the North-East. A member even suggested that it should be from his state, Bauchi; just as the next meeting of the body has been fixed for Lagos State at the National Secretariat, Ladilak-Bariga.
