…The NURTW angle
The curfew imposed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State today was triggered by an incident in Orile Iganmu, which led to the burning of a police station in the area.
Newdawnngr sources revealed that policemen shot two peaceful protesters this morning and one of those shot happens to be a brother to one of the officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
The incident led to the storming of the police station by NURTW members who in annoyance razed down the station.
As a result of this development, this prompted the state governor to declare the curfew to prevent the crisis from snowballing into all parts of the state because of the direct involvement of the NURTW members.
