Building collapses in Lagos

Tragedy struck at Gafari Bakogun Street,Ogudu today as a building gave way probably due to persistent rainfall.
According to reports,officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA had upon receiving a distress call on Wednesday,17th June 2020, about a collapsed building at No 46, Gafari Balogun Street, Ogudu swung into action. Immediately, the tiger team of the Agency was activated to the incident scene.

The agency said on arrival at the scene, it was observed that a segment of the building collapsed as a result of mud-slide from the back of the building trapping two persons.
However, the mud slide was caused by rainfall.
Rescue was still on going as at the time of filling this report while the fate of the trapped persons is unknown.
