COVID-19: Lagos Ferry Service back on stream

The Lagos Ferry Services this morning sailed again as the lockdown eased out.

The CEO of Lagferry, Mr. Abdoubaq Ladi Balogun had earlier held a meeting with officials of the ferry company in order to see modalities for complying with the directives of the state Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu on the various protocols guiding the gradual easing of lockdown in the state.

For instance, in MV MOBOLAJI JOHNSON the company adjusted to a 60% seating capacity (50pax to 30pax) on route Ikorodu-Victoria Island-Falomo Ikoy.

The same was effected on its MV Ipakodo which goes to Badore to Victoria Island and Falomo.

Balogun advised the officials of the company on the need to adhere to the laid down procedures as part of measures to safeguard the health of Lagos citizens.

Governor Sanwoolu had earlier reeled out a list of new protocols to be followed as part of gradual process of easing lockdown after the more than one month of total lockdown.

Lagferry has witnessed huge patronage in recent times after its operations were modernized with new boats which take safety as priority.
