It is well situated along the ever busy Egbda-Idumu Road in the Alimosho area of Lagos State.

In fact, it is on Abule Odu Bus Stop. Owned by Mr. Paul Omoruyi, an ex Nigerian Customs and Excise retiree, who voluntarily pulled his uniform in order to pursue his calling in the business of making people happy. And it is managed by youthful Simeon Ehimare

Hunters Night Club which its clientele love to refer to simply as Hunters, was opened for operations about six months plus ago; and this was after the spacious space was left fallow for years, by Mr. Omoruyi, who also owns Hunters eatery, on account of what to do with it. But after persuasion and conviction by the likes of Ehimare (the manager), Omoruyi decided to go nightclubbing with Hunters and the story, according to him, he has no regret.

Hunters is a nightclub that stands out to be noticed among others that masquerades as one in the Egbeda/Alimosho area because of its space made possible by the fact that it was built as a club; making it about the only one, in  the whole of Lagos State, after NiteShift Coliseun that was such concptualised.

An eatery that opens everyday of the week from 10am, a bar that flung its doors open as from 12 noon before the club which also operates from Sunday to Sunday from 4pm, Hunters is a one stop place where satisfaction is guaranteed for all those who seek and want to remain happy.

“My philosophy in life is to make people happy; in fact, I am happy when I see people happy. When I see young men and women dancing, making merry, I am always happy,” Omoruyi told us recently in an interview.

Though, Omoruyi said that he never studied anything relating to hospitality business; that it is in built in him. And that, his aim at making people happy is one of the reasons he opened the club and the eatery.

“Because I love to see people happy, I am always happy when they come to the eatery, buy their food and eat it to the last drop. When I see anybody who fails to finish his or her food, I usually walk to the person, introduce myself and seek to know why there is a left over in his or her plate. And that has been paying off for me,” he said.

The club boasts of a spacious, moderately furnished and decorated hall with an equally spacious dancing floor and a VIP room. It also has a band whose members perform live some days of the week.

There is a bar and snooker bar as on ascends the club. In fact, it is a one stop entertainment place poised to take its place among others in the Alimosho area.

On the response of people to the services offered by the club, Mr. Omoruyi said he cannot complain but looking forward to a time, mature people will join the young ones to pratronise the club.

“Considering how long we have opened, I will say that the response is good. I cannot complain. Sometimes the place is full to its brim, sometimes not but I am looking forward to when some mature people will patronize us,” he said.

He, however, declined to tell us the plans he has up his sleeves to make the club the best place to hangout in Alimosho area saying “that is my trade secret. ‘Abi you wan’ make I reveal them and fellow competitors will cash on it before? I will unfold such plans when I have dotted all the Is and crossed the Ts.”
