…To Be Laid To Rest on 2nd October in Lagos, Nigeria.
Thespian Actor and Godfather of Nollywood, Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs who passed away on 16th of September is to be laid to rest on Friday 2nd October in Lagos, the Economic Capital of Nigeria.
According to an announcement from his family released today Tuesday, Olu Jacobs will be given a private burial after a church service holding at 10am on the 2nd October at This Present House Church in Freedom Way Street, Lekki Phase 1 in Lagos.
This Present House, an affiliate of Church On The Rocks was formerly Pastored by a Film Maker and Medical Doctor, Dr Tony Rapu before Pastor Jude Ehiigie became the lead Pastor of the congregation.
Olu Jac0bs MFR who was born on 11th July 1942 quietly marked his 84th birthday with his immediate family and we remember his esteemed wife, Joke Silver Jacobs whom he married in 1989 personally dressed the world class Actor at his 80th birthday which attracted global media coverage.
Lagos will host the world class actors from Nigeria and diaspora on Wednesday 30th September at 4pm at a Night of Tributes coming up at the famous Glover Memorial Hall, 19 Marinho Road in Lagos Island.
Incidentally his widow, Joke Silva born on 29th September 1961 we gather will be celebrated privately for her 65th birthday by their three children, Olusoji, Olugbenga and Dayo in their Lagos Home.
Already contemporaries of Olu Jacob who died of Dimentia and associated ailments, his mentees, Hollywood and British friends are expected to fly into Nigeria for the Night of Tributes.
