Argentina ladies Friday night stopped the frenzy Mexican football wave to send home the Mexican babes 3-2 in the last group A match to Clinch the 2nd group ticket.

Annika Paz opened scoring for Argentina in the 29th minute from Camila Ochoa pass before the game entered a musical chair mode as Deiry Ramirez scored the equalizer in the 36th minute from a rebound and put Mexico in the lead with her brace scored in the 42nd minute through one of the Soto sisters, Alice before the break.
Argentina equalized 78th minute when Ana Torres fouled and Alma Velasco Heim scored only for Dolo Delgado to score the winner through Annika Paz assist in the 90+2 minute.
In the other Group match, Hosts Poland scotched Benin Republic 4-1 a wonderful combination of Zuzanna Grzywinska and Kinga Wyrwas (Polish names look like passwords and reporters have to be very careful getting it right). Zuzanna scored a hatrick with the 1st goal in the 26th minute, 3rd goal in the 63rd and 4th goal in the 70th minutes as Kinga who gave good assists scored the 2nd goal in the 31st minute through Zuzanna assist. Benin came up with their late consolation goal through their usual source Romaine Gandonou in the 87th minute.
Poland in the 1st round nailed Argentina 3-0 when Mexico played 2-2 with Benin Republic; Argentina hammered Benin Republic 8-0 in the 2nd round when Poland piped Mexico 2-1.
Hosts Poland topped group A with 9 points, Argentina is 2nd with 6 points while Mexico and Benin Republic are out of the tournament as Mexico got a point and 2 goals difference while Benin had a point too but with -11 goals deficit.
Brazil has R16 date on Wednesday at 2pm, England at 2pm on Thursday same date for Poland but at 5:30pm.
