Some Nigerians have been escorted out of Iran by officials of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the Embassy in that country.
This was confirmed by the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
The confirmation was contained in a terse statement by the Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocol of NiDCOM), Abdur-Rahman Balogun, on Wednesday.
According to Dabiri-Erewa, some Nigerians seeking for safety were escorted across the Armenian border by officials of the Nigerian Embassy in Iran.

She said so far, no Nigerian in Iran has been affected by the war as government officials remain at the border to receive all who wants to leave.
