Zambia U17 babes on Saturday night in Morocco produced a sparkling performance by beating New Zealand 4-0 to join Nigeria and hosts Morocco in the round of 16 games.
Star girl was Midfielder Mbali Victor who gave a lone strike to score the curtain raiser for Zambia in the 33rd minute and supplied the assist to Mercy Chipsula to score the second goal in the 44th minute.
Masela Sekeseke who was on the bench in Zambia’s two previous games was brought in to score the 3rd goal in the 69th minute before New Zealand Goalkeeper, Harriet Muller forcefully committed an own goal error in the 80th minute that gave Zambia the 4th goal. Zambia herself gave two own goals by Nyangu in the 18th minute and Malanda in the 34th minute that gave Paraguay 2-1 victory in their last game.
A late minute penalty scored in the 90+5th minute by Japanese Noa Fukushima gave an equalizer to the Paraguay curtain raiser of the 62nd minute by Allison Bareiro from a Klara Florentina pass
Group F therefore ended with Japan and Paraguay chalking 7 points each but Japan emerged group leader 6:1 or +5 goals difference and Paraguay was 7:3 or +4 goals difference. Zambia was 3rd with 3 points and 5:4 goals while New Zealand went home having failed to score any point.

Nigeria had earlier shown the African stuff checking out Samoa by 4 –o too to move to the knockout stages.

1. Brazil versus China on Tuesday in Sale.
2. Canada will meet Zambia and the winners of 1 and 2 will square up in the quarters.
3. North Korea versus Morocco is on Tuesday in Sale
4. Japan will meet Colombia on Wednesday and the winners of 3 and will square up in the 2nd quarters.
5. Spain will tackle France on Wednesday in Sale.
6. USA meets Netherland on Tuesday also in Sale while the winners of 5 and 6 will play the quarters.
7. Mexico will size up with Paraguay on Wednesday also at Sale.
8. Italy versus Nigeria will be the only match to be played in Rabat on Tuesday and the winner of 7 and 8 will meet in the quarters. All other matches in the quarters to the grand finale will be played in Rabat.
