Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State has approved a cabinet reshuffle and the creation of a new Ministry of Livestock Development.
This was announced by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, on Saturday in Katsina.
He said that Alhaji Adnan Nahabu has been moved from the Ministry for Special Duties to the Ministry for Higher, Vocational and Technical Education, as Commissioner.
Prof. Ahmad Muhammad-Bakori has been moved from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to head the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development.
Alhaji Aliyu Lawal-Zakari has been redeployed from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Agriculture, while Hajiya Zainab Musa-Musawa, has been transferred from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, to the Ministry of Special Duties.

He added that the newly appointed Commissioners: Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman-Jibia, takes over as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education and Alhaji Surajo Yazid-Abukur has been appointed Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development.
Also, Hajiya Aisha Aminu, previously Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, now heads the Ministry of Women Affairs.
In addition, Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar-Yar’adua was redeployed from the Ministry of Women Affairs to serve as Special Adviser on Nutrition and Welfare Services, while Alhaji Isa Muhammad-Musa, was redeployed from the Ministry for Higher, Technical and Vocational Education, to serve as Special Adviser on Cultural Orientation.
Kaula-Mohammed qouted Radda as charging all the appointees to remain committed to the vision of his administration’s ‘Building Your Future Agenda’, and prioritise service to the people of the state.
He said that the reshuffle, which took immediate effect, was aimed at repositioning the administration for improved service delivery and optimal performance across key sectors.
“The reshuffle will enhance coordination, deepen sectoral expertise, and accelerate the delivery of critical programmes across education, health, agriculture, youths development, women empowerment, and social welfare,” Radda said.(NAN)
