Morocco Loses first match Via Lone Penalty.
Chile the hosts of the 2025 world U20 male football tournament on Saturday night produced chains of football wonders with Morocco losing their first match to the 3rd lowly rated team in Group C, Mexico after beating two super powers in Spain and Brazil.
Brazil had their first worst outing at the U20 Male tournament in history by being sent out with only a point and a loss to Spain at the time she needed to win the crucial match.
Gilberto Mora penalty goal in the 51st minute deprive Morocco securing full points nut Mexico deserved the lone goal victory as she completely dominated the match probably because Morocco had already qualified the North African team relaxed.

Then came Group D decided in the wee hours of Sunday morning Nigerian time where Australia shocked Cuba with a 3-1 win and Argentina edged Italy by a lone goal.
Australia’s goals were a brace by Max Maputo scored 21st and 50th minutes with Daniel Bennie who had the 2nd goal of the game in the 39th minute but Alessio Raballo scored for Cuba in the 63rd minute. Three penalties were disallowed by VAR in the game first to Cuba in the 55th minute, second to Australia in the 69th minute and the third to Cuba in 90+2 minute.
Argentina finally topped group D with maximum 9 points scoring 8 goals and conceded 2; Italy came 2nd with 4 points scored 3 goals and conceded 3; Australia had 3points to make the 3rd position with 4 goals for and 4 against while the Boxing nation of Cuba goes home with one point scoring 4 goals and conceding 8.
Today Sunday 5th October the group stages will end to herald the knockout stages when South Africa face the high scoring USA in group E and France try to break tournament record of 9 goals scored in one match against New Caledonia by USA both matches will be played at 9 pm Nigerian time.
At midnight of Sunday, Nigeria has a must win encounter against Columbia in group F while Saudi Arabia tackles Norway.
By 3am of Monday morning Nigerian time, the full fixture of the Knockout stages will be available.
