Oba Rasheed Ladoja after his Coronation
Former Oyo State Governor, Abdulrasheed Ladoja, has formally been crowned as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Ladoja had emerged as the next Ibadan monarch following the demise of the late Olubadan, late Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who passed away on July 7.
Weeks after the king’s demise, the Olubadan Advisory Council unanimously nominated Oba Ladoja as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The ex-Oyo governor was officially crowned on Friday at the Mapo Hall in Ibadan.
He is set to receive the staff of office from the state governor, Seyi Makinde.
NPO Reported that the governor had yesterday cut short his one-month vacation ahead of the coronation ceremony.

As against his initial resumption date scheduled for the 29th of September, Makinde wrote the State Assembly yesterday to notify the lawmakers of his immediate resumption.
The governor, in the notification letter, cited the historic and culturally significant Ladojas coronation as reason behind cutting his holiday short.
