The leadership caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has passed a unanimous vote of confidence on Governor Ademola Adeleke, pledging full support for any political decision he may take amid growing rumours of his possible defection to another party.
At a high-level meeting held on Saturday at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Osogbo, the party’s leadership across all tiers of government and the party structure affirmed their loyalty to Governor Adeleke and mandated him to continue wide consultations both within and outside the state.
The meeting, attended by representatives of the National Assembly, State Assembly, State Executive Council, party executives, ALGON leadership, elders caucus, and special advisers, featured robust deliberations following a briefing by the Governor.
In a communique issued at the end of the meeting, the PDP leadership resolved to stand by Governor Adeleke regardless of the direction he chooses to take politically. The leaders, however, acknowledged that the Governor is still consulting widely before making a final decision.
“The PDP state leadership resolved to follow Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke wherever he goes,” the communique stated.

Taofeek Ajilesoro; South West PDP Vice Chairman, Engr. Kamorudeen Ajisafe; Osun PDP Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun; Deputy Speaker, Rt. Others included Senator Oluwole Alabi, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Rt. Hon. Lasun Yusuf, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, ALGON State Chairman Hon. Sarafadeen Awotunde, Hon. Muniru Raji, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe, and PDP State Secretary Hon. Bola Ajao.
