The camp of fomer Vice President Atiku Abubakar depleted further Wedbesday as Flformer Delta State Governor and his running mate during the 2023 election, Ifeanyi Okowa, has officially dumped the party and moved on to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Okowa, made the announcement in a video shared online on Wednesday.

In the clip, the former governor addressed his constituents in his native language, saying:
“Be assured that we will not go in the wrong direction.
We will take the best direction, the best path for our people.”
His defection comes just as the current Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori also announced his move to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Oborevwori’s defection was made public after a closed-door meeting at the Government House in Asaba.
His Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, confirmed the development to journalists.
