Superstar Davido hints plans to hold his white wedding ceremony with his wife, Chioma, in August in Miami, USA.
In an interview on The Breakfast Club, Davido confirmed the upcoming event, saying, “I’m doing my white wedding in Miami in August. Our traditional marriage shut down Nigeria because our relationship was in the public eye, and a lot has happened, apart from losing our child.”
The announcement comes 10 months after their lavish traditional wedding, held in June 2024 at Eko Hotels in Lagos, which was attended by top celebrities and dignitaries.
During the interview, Davido opened up about the strength of their relationship, including the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi, in 2022.
He praised Chioma’s loyalty and grace in handling the pressures of being in the public eye, noting that she has never exploited their private life for fame or attention.
The upcoming white wedding is expected to be a grand celebration, drawing global celebrities and fans to what promises to be a memorable event.
Davido also shared insights into how his relationship with wife Chioma influences both his personal and professional life.

He said: “My wife has always had things over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. If I fight her, she will say, ‘So you are fighting me, Abi? Your album is coming. Do you want to fight me?’ She has that grace over me. My kids love her, especially my daughter.
