Ace sports writer, Francis Oluwakayode Osifeso alias Uncle Kay has passed on at the age of 85.
His wife of 47 years Mrs Rhoda Osifeso said he died on Thursday February 12 2025 due to old age ailments at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital Sagamu, Ogun State.
Uncle Kay in his hey days was a prolific sports writer.
He worked during his years as a sports journalist in three national newspapers and a radio station namely; Daily Times, Concord, Third Eye and Radio Nigeria.

He will be remembered as a jolly good fellow, social mobiliser and one of the reservoirs of sports’ history in Nigeria.
He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
