Our youths are protesting on the farms not on the street-Gov Ododo

…Says those who want to take Nigeria back are insincere

Governor of Kogi state,Usman Ododo has said that the state Youths are staging their protest in the country on the farms to produce food for the citizenry and not on the streets.

Ododo spoke through his deputy ,Joel Salifu at the 8th Annual Conference of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers taking place in Lokoja ,Kogi state capital.

Our own youths in Kogi state have gone back to the farms to stage their own protest to produce food for the state while we as a government is busy constructing roads and develop other infrastructures and our mineral resources

He declared that those who are canvassing for “Taking Nigeria back”through street protest are insincere by trying to take back what they already have.

The Kogi governor said that the state has embarked on large scale mechanized farming to produce food for the state in addition to it’s abundant mineral resources.

He called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubus administration in it’s attempt to reposition the country adding that it is better to support the President to reposition the country than going to the street a situation he said”won’t achieve anything tangible”.

Said he,”the only thing we can do is to go back to the farms adding that significant progress has been made on repositioning the economy like the removal of subsidy and floating of the naira.

“For me,President Tinubus is a people’s government and it is better to support him adding that progress could only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere.

He urged the Guild to promote peace and security of the nation as the country could only progress in an era of peace and stability.
