US, Ascend Studios Foundation collaborates to expand Nigeria business in U.S

United States of America Consulate in Nigeria has partnered Ascend Studios Foundation to support Nigerian businesses and expand their reach in the US market.

 

According to the organisers, Science of Trade Conference, was a 3-day advocacy on exploring the various information at our disposal to facilitate growth in businesses.

 

 

“The event was designed to empower African entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of local and international trade. SOT2024 focused on Intra-country, Intra-Africa, and U.S. trade.

 

‘The conference equally provided valuable insights and strategies for successful international trade, with a focus on the science behind successful business expansion.

 

 

The U.S. Commercial Counselor to Nigeria, Julie LeBlanc reiterated her commitment to actively support and expand Nigeria business entrepreneurs who seeks business partners in U.S for growth and development of their products.

 

 

LeBlanc stated that information and contact necessary for business expansion would be provided and the right partners and ideas to help them succeed in business.

 

 

President of Ascend Studios Foundation and Convener of the initiative, Dr Inya Lawal said the foundation creates the opportunity to elevate businesses to new heights and unlock the potentials for growth and success in the global marketplace.

“We need to improve our standards and understand that regulations are so that we are on the right side of the books. Other countries that have better infrastructures leverage on it for expansion. We also need infrastructures in our nation to help in growing businesses, said Dr. Lawal.

Lawal urges policy makers to make make the best policy for  entrepreneurs.

Her words “Authorities in charge of trade should be part of certain associations aside Nigeria to enable our entrepreneurs here access free trade zone”.

 

 

‘Attending the Science of Trade conference, Nigerian businesses can gain the knowledge and tools they need to successfully navigate the complexities of international trade and establish a strong presence in the US market.

 

 

Group Head Women Banking, Access Bank, Abiodun Olubitan who spoke on “Leveraging loans for business growth”, stated that women empowerment goes beyond loan. As a brand we use character to access women before granting them loan. Women by default do not want anyone to embarrass their kids outside so they comply.

 

 

Executive Director Cavista Holding, Mr Dele Odufoye, presented a paper on Agricbusiness for wider market reach.

“Investing in Agriculture have a lot of impact in the economy especially local communities and how it changes smaller units of the home.Employing over a thousand people have contributed to their financial well-being.

 

Odufoye urges government to invest in security adding that farmers don’t need to spend their little income to provide their own security.
