Samson Oriyomi’s Solo Exhibition, Framed Mind holds at Gallery 1957, UK

Gallery 1957, United Kingdom will host Framed Mind, a Solo Exhibition by Samson Oriyomi, a visionary cyber security Engineer turned Internationally exhibiting Fine Art Photographer.

‘Framed Mind’ is scheduled to hold March 11th-14th 2024.
Oriyomi’s work bridges technology, identity, silence and memory.

 

His passion for fine Art photography began at age 15, and in 2020 Samson Oriyomi had transitioned fully into professional practice.

Ever since, his exhibitions and commissions have spanned Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and United Kingdom.

 

Oriyomi’s work without any doubt established him as a powerful voice in contemporary African fine art photography.

Samson’s Solo exhibitions have been presented across Nigeria, Ghana, and the United Kingdom, with each gallery listed alongside its country. Such Solo exhibitions include:

The Quiet Between Shadows was held September 12-19th, 2022 at Quintessence Gallery, Lagos Nigeria;
The Silence We Carry  took place July 9–14, 2023 at Yenwa Art Gallery, Nigeria;

Where the Gaze Rests  held September 12–15, 2022 at The Art Place, Nigeria.

 

Other exhibitions include ;
She Carries the Night  was January 24–28, 2022 at Omenka Gallery, Nigeria;
The Witness Within took place November 20–23, 2022 at Terra Kulture, Nigeria; and finally,
Light Segments was on June 2–5, 2022
at Gallery 1957 in Ghana.

 

Samson Oriyomi’s group exhibitions have been hosted in Nigeria and Uganda, further expanding his continental presence.  They include:

Stillness Between Seconds November 12–15, 2021 -The Art Place, Nigeria;

Fragments of Seeing was held February 10–16, 2022, at Terra Kulture, Nigeria

His other Cultural projects that he intends to execute and commision with support from Federal, State govt. and Corporate organisations this year Includes:

• Cultural Heritage Portrait Series to be
Commissioned by the Nigerian Ministry of Tourism, this fine art portrait series will document traditional attire and identity across Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa cultures highlighting textiles, scarification, beads, and generational narratives.

• Urban Youth Identity Project (Lagos Focus) to be Commissioned by Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, this gallery-bound essay will capture contemporary Lagos youth culture blending documentary realism with conceptual fine art.
• Architectural Memory Series – Colonial & Postcolonial Buildings to be Commissioned by the Nigerian Ministry of Tourism, this visual archive will explore historic structures in Ibadan and Calabar, examining time, decay, preservation, and postcolonial identity.
• Niger Delta Environmental Portraiture to be Commissioned by Shell Nigeria, this socially conscious series will document Niger Delta communities affected by oil exploration merging portraiture with environmental landscape to reflect resilience and impact.

From his beginnings as a teenage enthusiast to becoming a globally exhibited fine art photographer, Samson Oriyomi Yusuf has consistently demonstrated that silence can speak, light can heal, and imagery can preserve identity across generations.

Balancing analytical precision from his cybersecurity background with emotional storytelling through photography, he stands at a rare intersection of technology and art — building not only exhibitions, but enduring visual legacies.

Through these exhibitions across Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom, and Uganda, Samson Oriyomi Yusuf continues to build a cross-continental artistic presence, presenting deeply conceptual fine art photography that speaks to identity, culture, spirituality, and collective memory.
