Reps speaker constitutes seven committees

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, upon resumption of office has formed seven special committees to oversee legislative activities.

The speaker announced the creation of the seven special committees on Thursday in Abuja.

The committees include the Internal Security Committee, headed by Representative Mohammed Danjuma, the Selection Committee, chaired by the Speaker himself, and the Media Committee, led by Representative Buka Ibrahim.

Other committees include the Legislative Agenda Committee, chaired by Professor Julius Ihonbvare; the Rules and Business Committee, led by Representative Igariwey Iduma; the Welfare Committee, headed by Representative Wale Raji, and the Ethics and Privileges Committee, chaired by Representative Tunji Olawuyi.
