Nigeria to become net exporter of petroleum products next year-Kyari. Group Chief executive officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited,NNPCL .Mele Kyari,has said that by January next year the country will become an exporter of petroleum products . He spoke Thursday evening during an interview programme,Politics Today with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels Television. Speaking further,he said that the country cannot afford to continue subsidy on Petroleum products to the benefit of neighbouring west African countries. In order to meet the target of the NNPCL,he said that lasting efforts are being made to ensure enough petroleum products are produced in the country through Dangote refineries and fixing the nations refineries. Said he,”it is very painful that the country is going through the hardship but the truth is that we can no longer afford to have subsidy. According to him,efforts to remove subsidy us meant to allow the country has enough resources to develop the nation adding that the federal government is making efforts with the state governments to alleviate the sufferings of the people occasioned by the subsidy removal
