In his first four years tenure as the governor of oil rich Delta State that collects 13% derivation fund, Sen (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, shouted himself hoarse as a roadmaster.
Like Peter Obi did in his days as an APGA governor of Anambra State, he claimed that all nooks and crannies of the ‘finger of God’ state is motorable; that no part of the state has bad road, that one can drive from Burutu to Agbor. That one can drive from Oko to Asaba on a crushing level without applying the brake until one gets to his/her destination.
Okowa/Chikezie, this is Adonte/Abbah- Unor road as at last month
In short, that bad roads are no longer one of the problems of the state. That was what his roadmaster claim implied; but today, like they say, ‘wind don blow, we don see fowl anus’, we don see say all the claim is/was a blatant lie from the deepest part of hell.

Adonte/Abbah Unor road in the wet season

State of Adonte road as at last communal effort tomake it motorable
Okowa is a lie master instead. He deceived indigenes of the state, lied to the nation. Is this kind of a man the person we should entrust the office of the vice president of the nation to?
This writer do not think so. “Make we shine our eyes well and vote wisely.
Parts of Delta is still full of bad roads especially parts of Aniocha South Local Government Area known as Enuani particularly Adonte, Ukwu Oba, Ashama, Egbudu Aka communities.

Adonte Mixed Secondary School
They still have roads that are flooded during wet season and are taken over by potholes and dust in dry season; so, head or tail they loose, yet they are parts and parcel of the state and some have oil wells that has not been tapped, still capped and when they begin to tap them, will be part of the well for, which the state will collect the 13% derivation.
Okowa is not a ‘honourable’ man, he is not to be trusted, he lied to Enuani people; he deceived Adonte and the God he worships will judge him.
Before the election that brought him to office in 2015, this writer led a group called Adonte Professionals, to visit him and asked him what can they do for him as the election approaches and he replied that they should vote for him five over five and they did. Okowa won, Nwaoboshi who is now in jail also won. And what did Adonte benefit? Nothing but a six room, one block of classroom without toilet or borehole built in the days of Chief Patrick Ukah as the state commissioner for education, now secretary to the government of the state.
Today Adonte has no road, no hospital, no school, in fact no government presence yet it has be voting PDP since 1999; the party has been harvesting votes from the town like any other community, if not why did Ndudi Elumelu paid a mere N.1m to select youths of the town who barricade the communal road and refused him entry into the town when he was on ward to ward campaign? Remember Adonte is the headquarter of the state political ward 10. Yet it has no road and Okowa prides himself as a roadmaster.
Okowa give Adonte road before you become history May 29, 2023.
