Flag bearer of the Peoples Demcratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Chief Oladipo Adebutu, has appealed to traditional rulers in the state to exhibit circumspecting in their choice to elect a new governor in the state on March 11 just as he promised them better times if elected into office.

Adebutu, a.k.a Laado, who stormed the Egba Traditional Council statutory meeting in Abeokuta,, Friday February 17 on a courtesy visit told the Obas that if elected into power,his government would make the traditional institution more dignified and relevant in governance.
Said he,”I have been an advocate of the traditional rulers being assigned constitutional roles in our democratic system by recognising them as chief accounting officers of local government administration so as to enhance their relevance in grassroot development in the country”, he said.

He promised the monarchs,”the PDP government in Ogun State, if elected, will improve the social welfare of traditional rulers in the state.”
The governorship candidate said he had drawn a blue print that would ensure transformation of Ogun State from consumer economy to productive one through sustainable development of agriculture, particularly food security, its production and marketing.
Chief Adebutu remarked further that Ogun State is blessed with abundant human and natural resources that can engender rapid development of macro and micro economic activities and that his team had drawn a template that would create employment for the youth and propel increase in internally generated revenue for the State.
Earlier, the President of the Egba Traditional Council, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, having mandated a member of the Council, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade Akinale, to thank the governorship aspirant for his visit, prayed God to grant the politician his desires.
