…Bemoans stealing of national wealth
…Says Church itself has failed to live righteous
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christain Church of God,RCCG,Pastor Enoch Adeboye,have bemoaned the state of the nations economy saying the suffering of the citizenry is much.
Adeboye restates his doubts about 2023 elections
He made the declaration on Friday evening at the end of a one week of Fasting and Praying organised by the church for this months Holy Ghost service held at Redemption Camp,Kilometres 46,Lagos Abeokuta road.
He urged the citizens to pray to God to intervene in the land and end the sufferings of the people occasioned by bad leadership.
Said he,”it is now very difficult to buy bread for the people and even to have meal on their table in the midst of plenty “.
Quoting from the book of Proverbs, 28:13,he said that the sins of the people is responsible and ask them to pray for repentance so that God can heal the land.
Adeboye observed that the suffering of the people is caused by stealing of the nations wealth over the years by a few adding that except God intervenes,suffering may not abate.
As for him,it would appear that those in government those even have the answer to Nigerians suffering adding,”Let us turn to God to heal our land.”
As for him,except God intervenes through prayers of the citizens,the situation may remain saying,”it would appear those in government are hopeless and don’t have time for us and don’t know what to do to salvage the situation.
He also enjoined the congregation at the service which was beamed worldwide on Dove Television to confess their sins and ask God for mercy for themselves,family,the Church of God and the government.
Speaking further,he observed that the Church itself has failed to do what is right by living righteous, and obedience to God in all things.
“The leaders have failed so we have no option than to pray to God to heal our church and our land”.
The Holy Ghost service held Friday evening is prelude to the five days yearly Holy Ghost Congress which is to commence on Monday December 5 through Friday 8 and will be attended by reknown clergymen all over the world featuring, prayers healing and deliverance.
