The Nigerian Institute of Production Management,NIPM will on Friday November 4 hold a national workshop and annual general meeting.
Aderele Adeyemi, the Secretary, National Organizing Committee, the event is set to take place on 11th October,2022 at it’s national secretariat, 23,Acme house,Acme Road,Ogba industrial Estate, Ogba-Ikeja, Lagos.
According to him,the theme of the workshop is to discuss on challenges facing Manufacturers in Nigeria in the Fourth industrial Revolution (41R).
He recalled that Globalization and technology advancements have always been a subject of heated national debate over the years at all sector of the Economy, whether in the different levels of government or in the economical sectors as fingers are pointing at the hike in cost of capital to run a business in Nigeria.
This he said, ” is one of the main problems impacting negatively on competitiveness and profitability of manufacturing organizations. ”
He revealed further that the professional body regulating the standards of practice of Production and Operations Management in Nigeria, have carried out several research across the various sectors of the nation’s economy on the subject to be discussed and will talk about mapped out strategies on how to fight the problem to be discussed.
