Chief press secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde,Taiwo Adisa has said that contrary to widely held belief,the governor was not infected at the rally organised by the state for south west PDP on march 18, but possibly as a result of his interface while in the nations capital on march 19.

He made this assertion in a telephone interview on Television Continental programme,YourView on Tuesday morning.
Said he,”it amounts to concocting lies to say he was infected at the rally. The rally has nothing to do with it. The rally held on march 18 while he travelled to Abuja on the 19th where he met with some of his colleague governors”
Adisa said attaching rally to the issue amounts to politicising adding, “we should remove politics from it.”
He said that out of the 9 index cases the state had,it has discharge one while 7 persons are currently in isolation in the state just as he disclosed that a lot of contacts with those in isolation are been discovered and quarantined.
On the state plans for its lockdown which has started since Sunday evening,he said the state has exemptions for those on essential duties, transporting food and pharmaceutical materials with security agents been carried along.
The CPS said the state of the governor is doing well in isolation,”and so far he shows no sign of any ailment”.
