Time To Advance
Fellow Deltans,
The verdict of the Supreme Court today brings a closure to the determination of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2023 Governorship election.

No doubt, it has been a period of anxiety in which several of our long cherished relationships were tasked. While we commend their Lordships for finally upholding the spirit of the law, I state firmly that the whole process was only a family affair in which we are all winners and there are no losers.
The essence was to ensure that we did not progress in error and the outcome clearly shows that we acted in the best interest of our party and our state.
Much more than that, however, the judgement frees the atmosphere to reinforce our zeal to strive for the greater development and modernisation of our dear state.
Attaining the level of advancement we desire requires clarity, focus and commitment from leadership on what we need to do and how to do them.
While our Modernisation Programme spells these out very clearly and we are glad that Deltans believe in and desire it, we call on all our people, men and women, boys and girls, youths, political and community leaders across all our districts, to now act with unity of purpose and direction to bring about the leadership that will drive the process of our progress with the necessary competence and capacity.
The reality of the new global economic order and, indeed, of our country, Nigeria, makes this both imperative and expedient.
It is not for nothing that God has blessed us with diverse natural and human resources. We must effectively explore His grace to fulfill our destiny and not resign our fate to the vagaries of federal allocations. We will take our destiny in our hand and make an exemplary difference in the comity of Nigerian states.
The beginning point is for us to collectively decide to take the right political action. This means, in the the first place, voting massively for the PDP at the 2023 Governorship elections to enable us sustain the necessary political stability to embark on our journey to greatness.
By the grace of God and with the support of all Deltans, my assurance when elected as Governor of Delta State, is to work tirelessly and selflessly for the provision of the best possible conditions for the social, economic and psychological well being of all of our people across all of our communities.
True development cannot be at conflict with the sanctity of our environment nor the power of our diversity. Accordingly, I further assure that our administration will be all inclusive, respectful and considerate to all our communities.
