…Sanwoolu is a bridge between youths and old- Akinnola
Lagos state governor,Babajide Sanwoolu has spoken of the need to give space and create opportunity for the youths in the country.

He spoke just as Osa Director, a human rights activist cautioned the youths who he said are angry not to vote with anger but with reason adding that elders have to key in to their aspirations and guide them properly.
The duo spoke at the 64th birthday lecture of Richard Akinolas,a journalist and activist with the Theme-Youths and Sustenance of Democracy: Issues and the Challenges.

Governor Sanwo olu added that with the increased demography of youths which totalled over 8.7 million out of about 10.4 million new registrants,the coast is clear that youths will play a vital role in next year’s election.
Speaking further he declared that,”as leaders we must give ample space and opportunity for the youths if we believe that they are the leaders of tommorrow.
He identify lack of mutual trust as one of the impediments to have understanding between leaders and youths of today adding that his government is pending much on creating environment like building technology innovation and infrastructures in the state to engage the youths.
Said he,”Let us engage the youths to encourage them to participate in the progress of the country.
In his own contribution,Director added that Elders have to key in properly to guide the youths who believe that elders have failed adding that the topic is timely coming at a time the youths needs to be properly guided to ensure,”they don’t vote with anger out of anger with the system “.
Earlier in his speech,the celebrant,Akinnola said that his choice of the guest lecturer was informed by his youthfulness,openess and a vital bridge between the youths adding,”he holds the bridge between the youths and the old generation “.
