Relief, but not yet Uhuru for Lagos -Abeokuta expressway, Ota, Ijoko, Agbado, Alagbole residents

Relief came the way of some roads in Ogun state especial the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway and the Ijoko-Agbado axis long abandoned.

As of today roadworks are now ongoing at Sango Ota-Ijoko Road with some sections already being asphalted .

As seen in pictures above the state government has also commenced also commenced the reconstruction of failed portions along Ota Toll Gate down to Singer which will subsequently extend down to Abeokuta.
This, the government said, is in line with in line with it’s resolve to fixing deplorable Federal Government road for the benefit of our people.

Now,the problem today is arresting the gridlock arround Joju area of the road as commuters spend hours traversing the bad section of the road .

As for the Ijoko-Agbado,Akute end of the area,the torrential rains of the past two weeks have made commuting tough for the residents.

For the past two weeks, it has been hell for residents of this high density border area.

One hopes that the reconstruction and rehabilitation of this long neglected border axis will proceed throughout the year to bring smiles to the face of the hundreds of thousands of residents of this strategic border community.

The permanent gridlock arround Giwa Junction and Hercules which serves as the boundary between Ogun and Lagos state needs to be addressed as soon as possible same with Lambe,Matogbun and adjoining areas.
