I drove myself back to Abuja last week through this road, Benin–Ekpoma–Auchi–Abuja Expressway. My experience at Ekpoma is unforgettable. Honestly, I don’t know which is worst, compared to Sapele Road after Santana Market or many other worse roads that now litter Edo State under Governor Godwin Obaseki’s rulership. At this point in time that his Edo State Government received N16 billion recently from the Federal Government for federal roads that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led government repaired in office, what stops this government from fixing these roads with same money and applying for payment later? Instead, Obaseki would rather prefer to focus on and bring strange businessmen to hustle for the money returning from Europe with Benin Traditional Kingdom’s looted artefacts under his group’s EMABABA EMOWAA MUSEUM project. Actually, its a big shame that the Queen’s English-speaking, PDP-elected sleeping Governor of Edo State, Obaseki, drives through this road in its present deadly state for years now. Under Oshiomhole, who courageously engaged Federal Government and commendably fixed many bad federal roads to better the lives of the masses, Edo State wasn’t bad as it is today under Obaseki and PDP! Godwin Obaseki, Philip Shaibu and Osarodion Ogie, the trio currently holding Edo by its jugular are woeful failures. They should all hide their backstabbing hearts in shame and bury their ungrateful heads in sand! Shame to them and all the nitwits defending them here and everywhere…
