All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, has congratulated Kemi Badenoch on her appointment by Prime Minister Liz Truss as the Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade in the United Kingdom.
Tinubu described the appointment as cheering news “that yet again underscores the globally -acknowledged fact of the endless potential of every Nigerian when afforded opportunities to thrive.”
In a statement by his Media Office on Friday in Abuja, the APC presidential candidate said “Badenoch’s meteoric rise to party leadership contender and, now, senior cabinet member attests to her resilience and talent.
“The elevation, after a rousing leadership campaign during which she showcased her eloquence and other personal qualities, is very well deserved.
“I have no doubt that she will prove her mettle in the new role, and continue to serve as a glowing example of what this country stands to benefit if we continue our commitment to building and leveraging young talent.
“I congratulate Badenoch and her family and wish her the very best as she sets about implementing the trade policies of the new UK leadership.”

Tinubu praised the elder-statesman and Benin high Chief for his contributions to the social and economic development of the country as an entrepreneur, philanthropist and cultural ambassador.
The former Lagos State Governor and APC National Leader notes the trailblazing and pioneering role of Chief Igbinedion as the first Nigerian to start airline business when he established Okada Airlines and the first Nigerian to start a private university.
“There is no better time to fully celebrate Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, than on the occasion of his 80th birthday celebration.
“Chief Igbinedion is an extraordinary Nigerian who, through dint of hardwork and his indomitable spirit, blazed the trail for many Nigerians in business and philanthropy.
He made us realise its possible and profitable for a private individual to operate an airline business in Nigeria when everyone thought it was impossible.

Tinubu congratulates Fayemi over election as FORAF President
All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on his election as the President of Forum of Regions of Africa (FORAF), saying the honour goes beyond him as an individual and is for the entire country.
Tinubu praised Fayemi who is also Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum for enjoying the trust and confidence of his peers across Africa who deemed it fit and proper to make him their leader.
Asíwájú Tinubu said the Ekiti State governor had always demonstrated capacity and competence in handling any responsibility entrusted to him.
Governor Fayemi was elected as President of Regions of Africa after a conference in Casablanca, Morocco last weekend. He will lead the continental body till the end of his tenure as Governor of Ekiti State in October after which the next Chairman of Nigerian Governors’ Forum will take over.
The APC presidential standard-bearer said: “I warmly congratulate Dr. Kayode Fayemi on his election as the President of Forum of Regions of Africa.
“I am particularly happy that his peers across the continent found him worthy of this rare honour which goes beyond him as an individual.
“Dr. Fayemi’s emergence is another resounding recognition for Nigeria’s preeminent position in Africa.
