Many landlords lost their houses,cars burnt and limbs lost as the squarters who have for some time been on the close watch of environment authorities took vengeance of the innocent killing,maiming and raping. Yes, Lagos state government later rid the place of the squarters and illegal Okada riders, but they are back today. Nit only are they backbtgey have turned the rail line and the street leading to Abbatoir into a bigger slum very difficult to clean and dislodge. But since nobody or group is powerful than government,it is incumbent on Lagos Environment authorities to do some quickly and permanently make it impossible for the miscreants to grow the area hitherto an extension of the Oko Oba GRA. The earlier a permanent solution is found the better so Lagos won’t pay another price for activities of the miscreants.
