Media Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari has accused the media of being responsible for the attention terrorists are getting just as he dated the Senate minority lacks what it takes to impeach the President.
In an interview on Politics today anchored by Segun Okinbaloye of Channels Television,Senator Ifeanyi Abaribe disagree with Adesina saying the President has failed to act decisively since 2018 and declared the readiness of the minority caucus to serve the impeachment notice at the expiration of the six weeks notice if the situation remains the same.
Abaribe said the minority was irked by what he described as the “Cavalier manner the Senate President handled the motion on notice adding that when the Senate is ready,Adesina and others will know that the upper chamber meant business.
According to Abaribe,it does not matter whether the President had less than a year to go adding that it is better to remove him than allow his administration crashes the country.
In answer to a question,he said that the Senate minority caucus wanted to teach President Buhari a lesson so others can do the needful when they find themselves in office.
“If we succeed,the person who takes over will know that his his job is on the line. If you cannot stand the heat you have no business in the kitchen,he declared.
“As a representative of the people of Abia South,they sent me to out heat on the President when he is nit doing his job.
In his response to a question,Adesina said seven years is not enough to say President Buhari has failed adding,” he has not completed his tenure and he still has more than six months so you cannot say he has failed in seven years “.
Speaking further, Adesina accused the media of emboldening the terrorists and described as laughable the threat to kidnap the President and Kaduna state governor,Mallam El Rufai.
Adesina also described as anarchist leading activists who joined the protest by labour leaders in Lagos and calking of President Buhari to resign are anarchist adding that though they have the right to protest,”those telling the President are anarchist stoking the bar”.
He also accused the protesters who likened the coming protest against the government to the EndSars shows that they are anarchist out to cause confusion.
