The Ewekoro Local Government has appealed for the collaboration of Community Development Associations in the area towards generation and collection of internal revenue such as tenement rate and other subsidiary taxes from the rural populace.

Mrs. Kehinde Sodunke, Community Development Officer who officiated the inauguration of a new body of Community Development Association at Akinale penultimate Sunday, admonished members of the CDA to be circumspect and self-construct so as to reinvent a sustainable module for socio-economic development of their domain.
Earlier in a welcome address, Towulade Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, had expressed apprehension over the seeming inadequacies of the local government administration to meet both the political and social development of the rural populace that constitute the stakeholders in the area. He, therefore, called for rededicated members of the community to make CDA functional and responsive to the yearnings of their community.
“At a time when the local government administration is bereft of managerial independence, human and capital resources to repair damaged social infrastructure or initiate sustainable socio-economic development in the villages and sub-urban communities, the task rests squarely on community development associations” Oba Ogunleye lamented.
Alhaji Dada Ogunniyi who was elected Chairman of the CDA pledged commitment and transparent leadership. Other members of the association are, Mr. Yusuf Adekunle, (Vice Chairman), Mr. Sunkanmi Oyedola, (Secretary), Mrs Y. Adegoke (Treasurer), Mr. Ruben Albert (Financial Secretary), Prince Bamidele Ogunleye (Public Relations Officer), Phillip Dele Aladeselu (Youth Representative), Lukman Faleti (Welfare Officer), Mrs. Bankole (Women Representative), Mrs Mujidat Adelani (Social Secretary). Chief Ganiyu Lasisi and Alhaji Akinleye are ex-officio members while Mr. Aliu Ogunyemi is the Auditor.
