Penultimate Saturday 2nd of April 2022, Evangelist Mojibade Sunday Olurin became the new head of Olurin Family of Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State.

An astute retired civil servant, farmer and a highly resourceful and respected Cooperative Practitioner of several decades, Pa Mojibade was born into the Olurin family of Modeolu Quarters, Ilaro on the 14th of February 1939.
His father was late Chief Michael Adeosun M.B.E, Justice of Peace, the Agoro of Ilaro, while his mother was late Madam Rebecca Olateju Olurin, a renowned trader of Ojuwoye Market Mushin, Lagos.
Pa Mojibade garnered outstanding people centered experiences working in various government agencies like Ministry of Trade and Industries of the old Western Region and his training as Co-operative Inspector after a stint at the International Co-operative College in 1961 has been a blessing.
Recognized as a formidable and indefatigable worker and learner, Pa Mojibade gained Scholarship to study Advanced Management in Brisbane Australia.
Furthermore and based on his pioneering achievements in various cooperative works in major towns of the erstwhile Western Region, he was chosen to represent Ogun State on the Boards of Co-operative Bank, Association of Nigeria Co-operative Exporters, Co-Operative Supply Association, and Co-operative Transport Society among others.
After retirement, the government of Ogun State appointed him as a member of Joint Board of Ogun State Property Investment Corporation, Ogun State Housing Corporation and New Towns Development Authority.
He was also a member of the Technical Committee which arranged the formality for establishing the Odua Co-operative Conglomerate.
The new head of Olurin Family is a devout Christian of very impressive repute.
He served in Church Committees and was the President of Anglican Church Societies for years.
Pa Mojibade is also a moderate socialite, a member of Recreation Clubs in Shaki, Ikare and Ilaro and also the founding secretary of OKTOBA STARS KLOB Ilaro and later became its president for many years.
As an active community player, he brought the Community Development Association,CDA, to the Federal Housing Estate, Olomore Abeokuta, championed and coordinate its growth.
Also, a family man per-excellence, he loves his immediate family and a succor to the extended family with a sterling commitment to unrelenting bonding, growth, love and progress of the Olurin family.
In his acceptance speech, Pa Olurin assured all members of the family of a renewed vigor in the quest to take Olurin to a greater heights during his tenure.
He promised to utilize all the experiences he gained in serving various governments and the Co-operative Society and use the vast array of contacts he has built over the years to fast track sustainable developments capable of increasing the fortune of the family in meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs.
He however enjoined the whole family to join hands with him for the tasks ahead and to maintain strict adherence to the principle of integrity, industriousness and unfettered belief in God and commitment to doing the will of our Lord Jesus Christ that the forerunners of Olurin clan are known for.
