Delta first Lady,Mrs Okowa and some senior government officials visited the bereaved mother of the late baby ,who was beaten to death by her class school proprietress.
Mrs Okowa also visited the Delta State Police Command where the proprietress and Son were remanded.
It was gathered that during investigations, the Proprietress was asked if she threatened the late baby’s mother that nothing would happen to which she answered in the affirmative.
Newdawnngr.com sources revealed that during the visit, the Governors wife told the proprietress that’s the reason they accompanied the bereaved late baby’s mother to the State Command, is to prove a point to the proprietress that nobody is above the law.
Sources privy to the meeting also disclosed that Mrs. Okowa told the gathering that the government had to step into the matter to prevent any external forces from undue interference.
According to reports,the First lady promised that the state and appropriate authorities will ensure that Justice is served in the matter.
