Where the remains of the late Tony Uranta who died late last year will be buried is now a subject of controversy that might lead to litigation between members of his family and his wife.

Uranta
While the wife wants him buried in Lagos, his family members, mostly of same father, wants his remains taken to their Queeens Town village in Rivers State for his final resting place.
And to stop the wife from having her way, the family is said to have gone to court praying the court to grant them an injunction stopping the wife from further interfering in the burial arrangements.
The wife who hails from Calabar, Cross Rivers State where Uranta’s dad worked and retired as a judge before returning to Queens Town where he was made a traditional chief is to be afraid that she might not be well treated there but has forgotten that the late Uranta’s mother is from Cross River.
The Uranta’s wife is also said to be afraid that she might be forced to account for all the money she got as donations from her husband’s well wishers, friends and colleagues in the activist world, especially the N10 million she got from Governor Nyesom Wike. Another source said that she is not keen in going the island town because she will be made to drink the water used in bathing the remains of her husband if it is not true that she did take care of him while on sick bed.

Why can’t the wife’s wishes be granted ? Perhaps the late Uranta also wanted to be buried in Lagos or ddnt want to be buried in his hometown??
Perhaps his family are not really “family or someone else got the #10m donation
In this age and time some ppl still drink water from d remains of the dead? ??
From the experience of losing a loved one in a foreign country, I’ve realized ppl will come up with selfish stories to suit their pockets.
In conclusion, the tone of this write up is rather malicious.
