parents protesting in front of the school
In spite of grief in the state as a result of death of one of it’s students,some parents on Wednesday gathered at the Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos to protest against the continued closure of the school.
The parents were seen in numbers saying that the continued closure of the college is unfair to other students whose academic programme is being disrupted.
The college, located on Adebayo Doherty Road, Lekki has been sealed by the Lagos State Government after the death of a 12 year old, Sylvester Oromoni Jnr.
His parents have alleged foul play and his death has attracted widespread condemnation.
Many people have accused the authorities of the school of shoddy handling of the matter.

As early as 9am Wednesday morning, many of the parents had gathered with many cars parked to press home their demands for the re-opening of the college.
Some people have accused the founder of the school, an actress, Lami Phillips, of being too silent on the matter.
