High brow Dowen College,situated in Lekki, Lagos has been shut down on the order of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos.
Recalled that there has been an outrage over the alleged killing of a 12-year old student of the school, Sylvester Oromonu Jnr over the laters refusal to join a cultist group.

A statement by the Ministry of Education on Friday said the action was taken to allow for unbiased investigations into the circumstances leading to the death of the student.
Ganiu Lawal, Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Education quoted the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo as saying that the college would remain shut indefinitely pending the outcome of an investigation.
He said the Commissioner announced the closure after a meeting with the School Management and Staff.
“The Commissioner called for calm, saying no effort will be spared in getting to the root of the incident,” the statement noted
