2022 Appropriation bill: Sanwo-Olu presents N1.338trillion to Lagos assembly

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has presented the year twenty twenty two appropriation bill of

₦1,388,285,459,990.51 to the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this at the presentation of year 2022 Budget Estimates State Assembly that the appropriation bill is christened “Budget of Consolidation” adding that it is meant at consolidating efforts made so far by his administration for a greater Lagos.

He said the recurrent expenditure is 41 percent which would be 564.63 billion naira while the capital expenditure is fifty nine percent which would be 823.35 billion Naira.

The Governor while reviewing the year 2021 budget performance, christened budget of rekindled hope, said there was an increase in the Internal Generated Revenue and even with the Covid 19 pandemic the state has been able to promote economic growth through infrastructure renewal, provide health care facilities, housing schemes, Education, urban regeneration, expand knowledge acquisition in technology, youths empowerment, ensure security of lives and property, made financial progression, among others.

He however appealed to the Lagosians for the inconvinencies caused through the ongoing projects in the State.
