Residents of Lagos especially those around the popular and busy Computer Village, Anifowoshe and Oba Akran Road all in Ikeja have been warned of possible explosions over a gas leakage said to be happening at the moment.

An official of the emergency agency who called in into a live programme on the TVC Wednesday morning appealed to residents and business owners around the listed to be cautious and avoid anything that could spark fire.

However, the National Emergency Management Agency later announced that it has brough the leakage under control. Ibrahim Farinloye in a statement later, said though the leakage has been brought under control, the traffic diversion from the route leading to the place is still in force to enable technical hands to resolve issues that led to the leakage in the first place.

Details later…
