felicitated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde on the commissioning of newly renovated Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
Dr. Raufu who is an Assistant Professor at the Southern University and A&M College in the United States of America said the renovation of the stadium into international standard will help to increase the sporting success of Oyo State as the stadium will provide modern training facilities for the youth in Oyo State to excel and win laurels for the state in future international competitions.
Dr. Raufu who had earlier called the governor to congratulate him on the achievement and other several projects that have come to fruition said Engr. Makinde is God-sent to modernize Oyo State and put the state on the global map.
“Politics should be about helping people and that is the only reason why I am seeking to represent my people in Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. I am delighted that Governor Makinde has been a transformational leader and I want to enjoin our people to elect only men and women ideas into power who understand the dynamics of modern societies and what it takes to help our people,” Dr. Raufu said.
